Hiring signal cold email template
An open role is the most common public buying signal. It says what the team is short of, who it reports to and often which tools it uses, all dated and quotable.
When to use it
- A role on their careers page maps to the problem you solve.
- The role is new for them, or has been open a while.
- You can name the manager the role reports to.
The template
Copy it, then replace the brackets with what you read on their pages.
Subject: The [role title] opening at {{company_name}}
{{why_now}}
Hi {{first_name}},
Teams that open a role like that usually have [the problem] on their plate before the hire arrives. We [what you do] for the period before and after.
Would a short note on how teams cover that gap help? If not, I will leave it there.
[your first name]Outlevo adds your sender name, postal address and a one-click unsubscribe link under every email it sends, so a template ends at the sign-off.
{{first_name}},{{company_name}}and{{job_title}}are filled for each contact.{{why_now}}is filled by Outlevo from the account’s freshest buying signal, with its page and date, or left empty when there is none. By hand, write one line with the event and the page.- Anything in [square brackets] is yours to write, from a page you read.
Why it works
- The posting is checkable and dated, so the email cannot be mistaken for a blast.
- It speaks to the gap before the hire, when your help is useful.
- In Outlevo the opening line is filled from the signal with its page and date, never written by the model.

[your first name]When not to use it
When should I not use the hiring signal template?
This template and its variants pass the check Outlevo runs on its own outbound emails: only known merge tags, no number without a source, no spam wording, at most one link, no fake “Re:” or “Fwd:”, and under a hundred and twenty words.
