Cold email template · by role
Cold email template for a CMO or marketing leader
Marketers receive more cold email than anyone and spot a template at once. A fact from their own site, a pricing page, a stalled blog or a launch, beats any compliment.
When to use it
- Their site shows a funnel fact: a new pricing page, a stopped blog, a launch.
- You sell to marketing teams.
- You can describe one concrete change.
The template
Copy it, then replace the brackets with what you read on their pages.
Subject: On the [page] at {{company_name}}
Hi {{first_name}},
I looked at [the page]: [the specific fact about it].
That usually means [what happens to the funnel]. We [what you do about that one thing].
Would a short teardown of [that page] help? If not, I will leave it there.
[your first name]Outlevo adds your sender name, postal address and a one-click unsubscribe link under every email it sends, so a template ends at the sign-off.
{{first_name}},{{company_name}}and{{job_title}}are filled for each contact.- Anything in [square brackets] is yours to write, from a page you read.
Why it works
- It is about their page, so it cannot be a template.
- It offers a teardown, which shows your judgment for free.
- It makes no promise about leads.
Filled in: an example
Illustrative. Northwind Telehealth (northwindtelehealth.example) is an invented company, and so is Jade at Pagelift. The pages quoted do not exist. The email goes to its CMO.
| What the email says | Quote on the page | Page (illustrative) |
|---|---|---|
| your pricing page has no call to action above the plans | “Choose a plan: Basic, Plus, Family.” | northwindtelehealth.example/pricing |
Subject: On the pricing page at Northwind
Hi {{first_name}},
I looked at your pricing page: it goes straight to Basic, Plus and Family with nothing above the plans to say who each is for.
That usually means visitors compare prices without knowing which plan is theirs. Pagelift writes plan-chooser sections.
Would a short teardown of that page help? If not, I will leave it there.

Stalled blog
Subject: The blog at {{company_name}}
Hi {{first_name}},
Your blog’s latest post is from [month]. We [what you do for content]. Shall I send a note on a plan for it?
[your first name]Launch
Subject: After the [product] launch
Hi {{first_name}},
The [product] launch, per [the page], will need [the follow-up content]. We [what you do]. Would a short note help?
[your first name]When not to use it
When should I not use the to a marketing leader template?
This template and its variants pass the check Outlevo runs on its own outbound emails: only known merge tags, no number without a source, no spam wording, at most one link, no fake “Re:” or “Fwd:”, and under a hundred and twenty words.
