BIMI
Brand Indicators for Message Identification: a DNS record that lets supporting inboxes show your logo next to authenticated mail.
BIMI is a reward for strict authentication rather than a way to get it. It works only when your domain's DMARC record is at enforcement, quarantine or reject, not none; the BIMI Group's implementation guide requires that for the organisational domain and its subdomains. You publish a TXT record at default._bimi.yourdomain.com that points to your logo in a specific SVG format.
Gmail, among others, also asks for a certificate that ties the logo to your organisation: a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC), which needs a registered trademark, or a Common Mark Certificate (CMC). These cost money and take time to obtain. For a cold outreach domain, BIMI is rarely worth it; the work that matters is the DMARC enforcement underneath it, which helps every message whether or not a logo is shown.
